Who says you have to travel far for a true outdoor adventure? The City of Dublin’s Family Campout series brings the camping experience to nearby parks throughout the city. Just pack your tent, sleeping bags and a sense of adventure, and look forward to a hearty dinner, campfire entertainment, group games, arts & crafts and of course, s’mores! With three weekends to choose from, it’s the perfect summer tradition for the whole family.
June 19 – July 12 | 12 – 11pm | Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton
One of the Bay Area’s most beloved summer traditions, the Alameda County Fair is a short drive away and well worth the trip. From deep-fried fair favorites and carnival rides to pig races, live animals, and the Big O Tires Concert Series featuring fan-favorites like The Beach Boys, Flo Rida and Boyz II Men, it’s a full day of classic summer fun for all ages.

There’s something satisfying about grabbing fresh, locally grown produce straight from the source. Dublin’s weekly Farmers’ Market is the place to do just that, plus pick up fresh-baked goods, honey, nuts, pasta and more. Round out your evening with dinner from one of the hot food vendors and make it a weekly ritual all summer long.
Thursdays, June 11 – August 6 | 6 – 8pm | Emerald Glen Park (during the Farmers’ Market)
While you’re at the Farmers’ Market, stay for the show! Dublin’s Summer Concert Series brings live music to the park every Thursday evening, featuring a diverse lineup that spans classic Motown, R&B, old-school hits and tribute acts paying homage to artists like The Rolling Stones and Selena.

Date night? Family night? Either way, Picnic Flix has you covered. Dublin’s beloved outdoor movie series returns this summer with screenings at parks across the city. Arrive early to enjoy games, activities and sponsor interactions before the film starts at dusk. From classics like Lilo & Stitch to newer films like Zootopia 2, it’s guaranteed to be a good time.
Saturday, July 4 | 10am – 4pm | Dublin Sports Grounds
Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in true Dublin fashion at this community-wide Fourth of July festival. The Backyard Bash has a fun, neighborhood block party feel with live music, family activities, food, drinks, retail booths, contests and more. It’s the kind of celebration that makes you proud to be part of this community.
Saturday, September 12 | 12 – 8:30pm | Emerald Glen Park
Cap off the summer season at Splatter, Dublin’s vibrant celebration of culture, art and community. The festival features cultural performances across multiple stages, a World Craft Bazaar with unique goods from around the globe, roaming entertainers, interactive art activities, carnival games and rides for kids of all ages. Add in wine from local Tri-Valley vineyards, craft beer and cuisine from a diverse selection of food vendors, and you’ve got a day worth savoring.
